Barracuda Betty Fordite Ring

$250.00Price

Fordite and Sterling Silver Handmade Ring by Inside My Locket Jewelry

So much color and texture in this piece of Fordite from the Corvette factory. The bold colors of blue and orange needed an equally strong design! This ring has a nice wide band and is accented with 'pebbles' on top and at the ring band sides. Super easy to pair with your summer wardrobe of sunny colors!

Barracuda Betty is named after the American Muscle car the Pontiac Barracuda. Prior to the 3rd generation introduced in 1970 the Barracuda was known as an economical family car. While not one of the main cars in the Fast And Furious franchise, it's easily recognizable in the matte black finish as Toretto's car in F&F7.

Fordite is paint slag from the automotive industry, made available from the invention of the spray gun in 1930. Fordite was made in automotive plants for years, with most material coming from Michigan. In the late 1970's new methods of applying paint halted the amount of availble paint slag. This is indeed a rare material and a really cool part of history for car enthusiasts around the world! Between the Fordite and the sterling silver, this ring is made of 100% recycled materials.

A PERFECT fit if you normally wear a size 8.5. Sterling silver given a light patina.

Handmade by Artist Anna Hudick, OOAK, size 8.
